My favorites are the pony and buck. That pony is just too cute...what is it about baby animals that makes them so adorable!? You know, we keep upgrading equipment, but it is the person pushing the shutter that makes it...well done.

Love seeing what can be done with a 40D and 400 5.6 (since that's my birding combo)! The GBH shots are great - and the Karl flower is a beauty!
Thanx for stopping by Tim.

Wow, great vault work Ron! Who knew you were that good back then
The perch and pose of the first is just too good. That's a super one Ron!!! I would to see a pony on the beach like that, maybe someday but until then I'll go with this one. All the florals are beauties The web filling up with water really is a unique shot. I like the bg in this shot Me too! Love the young buck. Man Ron you hit it out of the park with these
Tim
Thanx Tim. I had to haul the kayak about 1/2 mile to get that first shot. I haven't been back because my kayak wheels disappeared...

Ron, all those shots are so good and unique that singling any one out wouldn't make sense. They all amount to excellent photography.
Thanx Peter. I appreciate the kind words.

Ron these are great. My favorites are the last two. . Some of the moments and shots cannot be repeated with your new gear and new skills. I am glad you shared these with FM again.

Wow Ron, these are all very nice. Note to self: sell all my current bodies and just buy a 40D for every lens I own

Thanx Jim. I still like the 40D images too.

#4 give David Earls a tickle PM on that, he will love it and it is the coolest ever that I have seen buddy!
Ohhhh ya #5 is a treat, a luminous glow to the flower against the darkness and depth of that supporting Bg, looks excellent my friend.......I hope it makes you happy too.
#6 is cool, looks like a bombing run
Good looking GBH and the beauty light graced your Buck, neat shot Ron.
Take good care.....
Karl
Thanx Karl. I appreciate the "nitless" comments...

Wonderful set Ron with a lot of really cool pics.
My faves are 3, 5, 6, and 8.
I hope you're able to get out and shoot soon.
Kirk
Thanx Kirk. when I can get the time, I am limited to AM shooting. I do need to check on several Barred Owl locations, and a GHO nest, and the GBH are starting to return to the local rookery, and the eagles.... So I do hope to start getting out soon ~ Ron

Excellent assortment Ron, that's quite a vault sampler.

Thanx Mike. Although I'd rather be out shooting, trips to the vault are nice too.

Great set Ron, I love the outer Banks pony, beautiful light and detail in all of these.
Thanx Herb. The OBX is a great place to shoot. There is an Osprey nest that I can shoot down into about 5 min from where we normally stay, and lots of other birds and wildlife too.

Fine set, Ron. I especially enjoy the spider web. Yhe two florals are also very nice shots - both contain a lot of texture. Don't know what's to the right of the daylily, but I might frame it in the left side of the frame.
Love the texture on the buck's anthlers as well -
Nothing like old gear in experienced hands to get it right, eh?
Thanx David. I had 5 or 6 frames of the day lily, and the flower was to the right of center in all of them... What was I thinking?? There was no more room on the right.

A great set, Ron, with some real wieners .
I am fascinated by the spider web image! Never seen any web even remotely shaped like that. Could it have been an orb web that was blown apart by the wind and then saturated with heavy dew?
Or maybe the spider had no artistic sense?

Seems 2008-09 was a good year for pics Ron and you did real well with this combo.
A beautiful mix of flora and fauna which are all well captured together in # 6.
Go dig out some more
Martin
Thanx Martin. It's fun going back. Some shots are better or worse than I thought. As time permits, I will continue digging.

Good looking set Ron. I'm liking #1 quite a bit.
Thanx Ken. The day I took 1 was a fun day. I had to haul the 'yak about .5 miles to the lake. It's so old that sediment has made much of the lake too shallow for my kayak, but it does attract wildlife. I just wish my 'yak wheels had not disappeared. I'm not carrying the yak to the lake and back - it's uphill both ways...
