Paul, the 2nd is nice. I have thought about buying the Nokton 50 more than a few times. After much deliberation I finally decided against it, but seeing more photos from you will no doubt get me thinking about it again.
Here are a few from the CV 35/2.5 (cross post from NEX images thread)
All you guys in this thread who mentioned the APO-Lanthar 125mm SL and everyone in this head to head thread can all just die - but not before undergoing some hideous and varied tortures too grotesque to describe! Photography will never be the same for me because of YOU!
First I thought I had topped out by camera's resolution with the Zeiss MP100/2.8 C/Y but then I had to go and believe you people about this Lanthar thing. So I got one. They're over twice the price of the Zeiss! $2K+ I thought for sure nothing could be sharper on my camera than that Zeiss. And a few hours ago it arrived. I opened the brand new packaging. And I mounted it. On my camera. And I turned my camera on. Oh what a mistake that was. I should have left it in the box and just not removed it! But no.. I had to be all curious and stuff. I had to know. Well now I know.
And I'll never think another lens is good ever again. And it's all YOUR FAULTS!
Seriously, WTH is this thing? It's like, from Mars or something. Only having shot about 30 shots with it so far I dunno everything but those 30 test shots are the same I do with just about every new Macro capable lens I get. And I actually felt kicked in the head by the difference between this, and the zeiss - which before now I felt was maybe the sharpest lens on the planet - certainly the sharpest lens I had ever used under 300mm - of the 400 or so I've shot with this past year. How is it even possible that a lens is this sharp? I think that's the only adjective for this thing... Impossible!
I'll go ahead and do a head to head between the Lanthar and the Zeiss but it's like, what's the point? Just from this past hour I think it won't even be a fair fight! I guess I'll find out.

We're LENS BROTHERS Bif.........hehehehe.
I just popped mine on the camera today......and feel like you, that there is never going to be a lens like it.
Check this shot out........not bad. Pretty good feather detail.......no tweaks.....no sharpening.
Yup! Not bad! And that's not even close to optimal lighting for those.
Lens Brothers again...! Nice!

dammit! this lens doesn't need it's price driven up more guys!
i don't have one yet...
I'll sell you mine for $2.1k - whenever you're ready. No matter the market price... Which seems currently to be between $2.2k and $2.6k if I'm not mistaken. I'm the first owner too so it'll be pristine.

So, now you just need a full frame camera to make it justice.
Way to rub it in! I do keep thinking about that actually. But the ones I want are way over my means - like the 1DX and the D4. I suppose I could do like I do with lenses and just use it on it's way to somewhere else. They certainly don't seem to depreciate over time much like the cheaper ones do. I was looking at the 1D Mark IIn for awhile but then the OM-D appeared - which will actually kill two birds for me. Ga! Why didn't I become an international banker instead of a hollywood gofer?
