I only caught about 2/3 of it yesterday... but it kind of seems like Zack doesn't really trust Jody sometimes
I don't trust Jackie a lot of times either It is a husband wife thing!
I mean seriously though do you ever explicitly trust the person you are working with to produce 100% exactly what you want?
Never
Heck I do not even trust myself!

I watched some of it earlier and the thing that had me the most curious was that expodisk thing. I've heard of it but I've never seen anyone use it...setting and resetting a custom white balance all day long? I am a fan of custom white balance to save time I'm post and get it right in camera but it seems like that thing would get old real quick. Anyone here use one and have more insight? Just curious. Its always interesting to me to see what other people do and I'm always open to learning a new thing .

my impression was that they owned stock in the expodisk company

interesting that Zach just gave Evan Baines a shout out basically
Evan and Zach are friends and both work in the Nashville area. I had the privelage of meeting both Zach and Jody and in the 10 min. I talked to them they were able to give me more solid advice about my business than anyone else to this day.
Yeah, this CL with them has been pretty solid so far from what I've seen. Already understand the technical concepts, but seeing how they apply them to work fast and keep it easy for the client has been pretty beneficial.
We love Zach and Jody....we actually did a video to try and be part of the event (they picked all somewhat newbies, though). We have a ton in common with them, and they seem like great people to try and learn from.
Coincidentally I had just bought the same light meter they use last week, so seeing how they quickly meter for dropping the ambient 1 stop under the strobe was very helpful.
What these two do is SOOOOOO close in many ways to my wife and I....it is very hard not to just want to copy them in everything. More than any other photographers I have seen or listened to, these two are the couple that I would want to be like. What's hard for me if to know how to take certain things without ripping them off...especially when almost everything they say resonates with me and our philosophy.
Yep, day 3 rocks, Everyone here on FM has some business strategy, but there's always something to add, improve, or just think about. That's why I also liked J* on creativelive- she is a queen of e-marketing.
I'm digging it. Only watched bits and pieces from the various days, but day one was good, got some nuggets. Day two was better, more nuggets. Day three so far is great, lots of nuggets.
