Chris, this is a massively visited place during Summer time. You can organize canoe trips down the river with an overnight stay on the sandy river banks
Very nice images. I prefer the composition of the first, but there's little in it.
I've canoed under that rock bridge and in slightly younger (and more stupid) days, jumped off it! I'm impressed you found some solitude - every time I've been to the Ardeche, it's been crammed with tourists.

Many thanks, Matt. In Summer it is indeed crammed with people, canoes and cars. The end of the Fall season is much easier.
