I'm sure these guys buy them knowing they're fake. Wonder how much they pay for them? Thought I read where they refunded the money but didn't ask for the grip back....some of these fakes work as good or almost as good as originals (which are way over priced IMHO)
If everyone who ordered one got a refund and didn't have to send them back be hard for the seller to stay in business.
Problem is not everyone belongs to this or any other forums and gets this information. Especially when the guy has 100% feedback.

I'm sure they know they are fake ... I get the pay $15-20 each from China and they sell them for min of $170.00 so if 1 in 5 return the other 4 still made a pretty profit ... I'm tellin ya'll this thing is GOOD fake! it seems to work fine and the biggest thing is its NOT magnesium alloy so its not sealed like the original Nikon one.
Not that it isn't helpful to have a site the illustrates the fake versus the actual, but won't savvy counterfeiters merely try to improve their wares, based on the commentary? That's what I'd do.
There would be a law of diminishing returns for them trying to improve their counterfeits to be impeccable copies, molds for plastics, electronics, packaging, printing, and this is what the customer sees. They may have to find and go through 3-4 manufacturers in China just to get osmething that looks good.
Thankfully, most fakes are still rough enough to be picked up as fakes. These websites will continue to help us spot them.

Did you leave them negative feedback? Using the link you left, it appears that they have NOT received a single negative feedback over the past year!
you can't leave bad feedback after you've already left good feedback ... my buddy left it when he received the item .. it wasn't until 28 days later we learned it was a fake
That's too bad. Many people including me, would look at 100% positive feedback and would not hesitate ordering from them--not knowing they are getting counterfeit goods.
This type of stuff is everywhere, firearm optics, flashlight etc. I went to inspect a Canon 24-120L lens the other day, I can't say for certain, but it sure didn't feel or operate like a real Canon lens. Felt lighter and much to free to be the real deal. Plus the seller would only communicate via e-mail, no phone or text. All those things told me it was a bad deal and to avoid it like the plague. It was probably the real deal, but too many things kept crying out to pass on the deal.
I bought a Neewer brand that seemed to work nicely but I would lose pictures from my slot 1 raw card all the time. After trying different things I recently took off the grip since the light would come on on the camera from time to time like it was writing to the card and all I did was move the camera while off. After removing that grip I haven't had the problem any more.
Knockoffs not always the way to go either I learned.
