For both photos and video: 24-105 by far.
For photos only - 200 f/2.8L II - for sports assignments. 3003 photos in 2011, mostly all from sports photos this past fall.
Same one it was in 2006 and every year since then, I don't even have to look - the 24-105. Followed by the f/4 70-200, Zeiss 100mm macro, 24mm TS-E, and the 17-40 (I'm actually not sure I even used the 17-40 this year, when I want to lighten the pack it's the one that gets left home). The 24mm TS-E was only recently acquired, if I had owned it the full year it would be much higher on the list but the 24-105 would still be the leader.
For my 5D2: definitely the 24-105 for landscapes, but the 100-400 got regular use for landscape macros as well. Also used the 24 TS-E II quite a bit for landscapes later in the year.
For my 7D bodies: the 100-400 saw the most use, but due to a birding photo trip to Ecuador, the 500 f/4 IS and 400 DO lenses saw a great deal of use as well.
For something different, how about a Contax N 24-85 on my Canon 5D2?
Mostly because of a few trips when I wanted a convenient AF zoom with Zeiss color and contrast.
sigma 10-20mm. I do a lot of cheap night club events work and that lens probably does 1000 shots a week.
not including that work though it would be the sigma 30mm f1.4
The 24-105 was used for the vast majority of my travel/landscape photography followed by the 100-400. I'll add that the G10 was either 2nd or 3rd as I did a couple of backpacks this year.
That depends;
family stuff: 24-70 (18%) - not a huge margin... closely followed by the 24L2 and the 50L (gasp!)
travel stuff: 24-70 and 16-35/2 (tied at 17%)
assignments: 15mm fish and 16-35/2 (tied at 22%)
Because the assignments outnumber my personal stuff 1000:1 for the past year, I think the 16-35mk2 wins.
