Yes, it would be interesting to see all 3 compare. You could throw in the ZM 25/2.8 as well.
I'm not sure the ZA 24/1.8 would display more vignetting since it is designed to the limitations of the NEX sensor in the corners/edges.

Probably off topic but i wonder how the za 24f1.8 compares to the za 24f2 and zf 25f2. I realize that 24f1.8 is crop format so it probably has a bit more vignetting....
The ZE 25 f:2.0 was originally supposed to be avaialable in October 2011. I was promised mine for November. Then December came and went. The Zeiss webshop showed availability for "the end of the year". Now this same webshop mentions "first quarter of 2012". And, except for reviewers and lensrentals (thanks again, Roger!), no-one has shown pictures Obviously something is happening to this project. But what?
I think just the usual production delays. The ZM line has been backordered for a long while and only a week ago, we started seeing items back in stock worldwide. As I have been told by a distributor, Cosina just finished producing a large batch of ZM. Knowing Cosina's limited capacity, the delay with the 25/2 isn't too surprising.

My 200/2.8 L got slightly wet under very light rain, and it turned out to be not as water resistant as claimed, and soon even developed a serious case of fungus.
Canon has never "claimed" that this older lens is water resistant... and it has no weather or dust seals.

Zeiss had functional samples already two years ago. I don't know whether these were prototypes made in Germany or early production samples. Anyway, two years is a long time.

Having said that I'd dearly love the 25/2 to be as good as the 25/2.8 for infinity then I could finally get a 25 zeiss in ZE mount :-)
It is even better :-)
At least, according to the criteria that matter to me.

I can't remember who was it exactly on this forum who said that Zeiss prototypes are made in Oberkochen. And certainly, 2 years is a very long time, but it could be that they discovered a problem with the design and had to rectify it. In any case, Cosina's capacity problems are very real and quite problematic imho, as this may affect quality control. I wish Zeiss could find a different partner.
Well, for all the frustration with Zeiss deliveries, I am not that harsh on Cosina, because it is just not that often that one hears about a "bad copy". Damaged, yes, sometimes, but far fewer claims that a lens is "just not as good as it ought to be" than I ran into when I was a regular on the Canon forum.
