I gave my youngest my 30D with the 17-85mm IS (and an extra battery & 2 CF cards, of course). He was ecstatic. Now all four of my children are Canon shooters (the apple don't fall far from the tree).

I gave a friend one of my 20Ds a few weeks before Christmas, then for Christmas I gave him a brand new CF card to put in it.

Same as Robert. S95 for the wife for the exact same reasons.

This is the first small camera I've purchased and we're both quite pleased with the picture quality.

Same. S95 for the GF, fair exchange for track skins for my Daytona 675 ^_^

In my one day of using it...it's no 5D...or rebel for that matter...but it's pretty damn fun wide open at close range.

I was impressed with it's macro capabilities. It didn't do too badly at all.

A fool and their camera gear a soon parted. I don't know a single person I could even trust with a disposable camera let alone real camera gear. Alas my family and friends are about as interested in taking photos as I'm interested in haberdashery.

I'm seeing a lot of posts from people who have bought an S95. I don't know much about them (or other P&S/compact cameras), but judging by the numbers it must be a good one.
