It's just another way of separating oneself in the mind of the client. A decade back lifestyle photographer was a great term but now every hack and his dog calls himself/herself that (as well as many decent to great photographers).
Good branding is about being different while the rest call themselves what everybody else call themselves and think that is establishing their brand.

Means about the same as PJ Style, i.e. nothing. Hmmm, maybe I'll start using the term
No, it means something different than photojournalism. I don't think you'd understand but use the term anyway if you think it helps your branding grow.
Creative art, esp. visual art, whose products are to be appreciated primarily or solely for their imaginative, aesthetic, or intellectual content
- the convergence of popular culture and fine art
An activity requiring great skill or accomplishment
- he'll have to learn the fine art of persuasion
I used to call myself "fine art photographer" and put it on the business card.
Then one day, a bride talked to me "wow, you also work for Fine Art? I know that quite some photographers who work for Fine Art. It must be a very big company!"

I meant that it's another 'nothing' term which photographers use which can mean a thousand different things, most of them wildly innaccurate. If you want to try and sound patronising do try basic reading comprehension first.
fine art wedding photography means, by my definition, definition of my art teacher and so on
wedding photography done by art photographer by his vision. so you book him to get coverage through his eyes, because you like his view on the world and believe that looking at your wedding through his eyes will make you happy.
I'd describe it as fashion photography meets constructed image. The wedding photographer goes after high concept images with a meticulous approach and attention to detail. Never appealed to me as its the opposite of naturalism.

No need to care about my comprehension stranger. I think it's decent enough. I was pointing to your joke about the 'nothing' term. Quite a impressive sense of humor you got there. *Sarcasm*
Beni, you came to this forum to poke fun at other people's branding (pj and fine art) and comprehension level? No need to be such a low life troll. I'm guessing your the one of the main contributors to this forum's success and popularity over the last little bit. =)
Anyone else with incredible photographs and super creative branding wanting to laugh at other photographers' branding techniques?
