Ichiban ( 一番 ) means "number one" like "el numero uno!" Thee is a company called Ichiban which makes instant romen. Maybe that's what you mean?
But for sure instant romen sucks! Good freshly made romen OTOH rocks in the hands of a good cook!
Here's a recipe that makes instant romen edible:
Boil the instant noodles for 2/3 of the time specified,
Drain 95% of the water out,
Add 1/2 the supplied flavor pack,
Add 1 whole (fresh) raw egg,
stir extremely vigorously until the egg froths.
Eat. Yummm!
If I ever consider working in another country, I'll put Canada on the top of the list
Toronto is my either #1 or #2 favorite city in the world (the other is Bangkok) to visit. The Markham district has the best Chinese food in the world...even better than that in China and on the same level if not exceeds that in Hong Kong. If the Canadian dollar weren't so strong against the US dollar, I'd be there more often.
