I presume that by now, many have been produced, and are in ships crossing the Pacific, to get them in the hands in retailers in 3 weeks time.
I was looking forward to getting mine on 11-11-11, which would have been a good omen.
Hopefully, thats the case. I'm sure we will find out soon. This part of the rumor did not sound encouraging though:
"Acccoring to info I got from my sources there are still some Stocks of NEX-5n, A77 and A65 cameras that have already been shipped to worldwide dealers. But it’s very likely that the NEX-7 shipment will be delayed. I repeat this is an unofficial news based on rumors. I hope to get real “facts” soon."
Sony.com (US) still showing early November delivery; my order at Sony.ca (Canada) still showing as Nov 15. The Zeiss 24 continues to show as December delivery in the US, my own order in Canada as mid January 2012.

Some of these look pretty encouraging...
Images look really nice, bokeh etc, but hard to judge sharpness,
I can't detect what most are focussed on... Or it's blurry like the garlic shot.
Look at the rose picture, a really shallow dof for 24mm f2.
Do you know how the MF works with this lens? Is it fully manual?
I think it is probably hard to nail focus wide open on that lens, using only an LCD screen, on those subjects. Depth of field is pretty shallow close up and that is something an SLR does better. With multi AF it is a bit of hit and miss, if that is what they've used. Those subjects would benefit from manual focus.
Images look fine, I think the lens itself is a great lens and in line with recent Zeiss offerings.
I have done quite a lot of jpg-downloading and comparing and I find that the nex-5n is not "better" in a noticable way. I predict that when the nex-7 comes, with updated firmware, it will be just as good as the 5n up to at least iso 3200. And far better from 100-800.
The other pages have indoor shots but the page I linked to in particular showcase some great colors and detail in overcast light.
I'm seeing great color separation and fine detail being picked up (even though they're websize). The photog seems to be really leveraging the megapixel advantage for downsizing in regards to producing fine detail.
Expanded the number of automatic compensation compliant lenses.
