We had a busy month...4 weddings, 1 engagement session and 2 children's portrait shoots... and yet, this one of my son is my favorite shot of the month.... from my 365 that I'm doing on FB. Shot in natural light with 1 lamp in his room. The next day I lowered the mattress in his crib.
July was HORRIBLE here. Many, many days over 100. Most of my sessions that were non-urgent rescheduled into late summer or even the fall, as it's continued to be horrible here - our hottest day since 1984 (109) was last Tuesday. I had three weddings and two engagement sessions and that's it. This image isn't necessarily the BEST image I shot in July - this wedding had lots of great bride/groom portraiture, and I had a great night shot at the wedding the following week. I was following the bride and groom through town (Hutchinson, Kansas) to a spot where we were going to shoot, I stopped behind them at a stoplight, and just took it on a whim. I just liked the spontaneity of it.
Hard for me to choose. Well, maybe this one. The last photo that I took for the wedding on my way back to the car. We noticed this light spot. Here you are.
