^^^ nice shot. I miss thunderstorms, where I live we just have smog and that's it.
When you say "AV errors" did you meter wide open, or do you stop down and continue to shoot in AV?
Metering is with the lens already set to the shooting aperture. The adapter has a little pin that puts the lens in permanent stopped down mode - just crank the ring to set f/#. You'd think that 'light is light,' but for unknown reasons the camera overexposes up to ~1.5 stops, depending on the aperture. My other OM lenses also overexpose by a modest, variable amount. I'm not a big Chimper, and the necessity of checking the histogram and adjusting the exposure-compensation each time the lighting or scenery changes is somewhat annoying! In general, the higher the f/#, the more accurate the metering. Every time I blow the highlights on a contrasty scene and start muttering about the lens I have to tell myself, "You only paid $16, deal with it!"

sebboh, the MC 50 impresses mightily here, being hard getting it onto the the A mount is a shame. The Nikkor bokeh frightens me, in a nice acid trip kind of way.
yeah, if somebody told me i was only allowed to keep one normal lens there is a decent chance i would choose that lens over all my others (including it's big brother, smc tak, and canon 55/1.2). if only it didn't have the obnoxious hexagonal aperture diaphragm.
the nikkor i sold after i had the fungus removed. it was kind of a cool time traveling lens, i would set the camera to iso 6400 and B&W and it looked just like 1950 again (makes sense that's when the lens was made). it was too much of a specialty lens though and i hardly ever used it. i did take two of my favorite pictures of my daughter with it though.
I'll play! How about my friend getting a bag-full of goodies at a yard sale. Some old Yashica camera (not sure what model), with a Yashica 50mm F2 ML, a 80-200 F4 ML, and a Tokina 28mm F2.8 RMC for FIVE dollars. She just gave it all to me to play with, cuz I happened to have a Yashica-EOS adapter......first shots from this weekend.
Very nice!! I bought two Helios 44's - a 44M-6 and a M-4, just cuz they are so cheap. I honestly think that you can do no better in the sharpness department than a Helios............unblankingbelievable. Except now I have discovered Yashica ML's, and they ROCK also.
Does free count.. :-)
Got Angenieux retrofocus 35mm f2.5 for free...
went to buy pioneer rt707 reel to reel. The seller was not ready to sell for less than $200. Too much for cheapo like me. Eventually i bought that for that price with 5 new unopened reels and bag full of broken lenses. The guy knew about my interest in old lenses. Even in those broken lens pieces, i was able to read Angenieux. With shaking hand, i picked all the stuff..... :-D
Now need a guy who can clean the better than perfext len... just too much dust....
Can even send to fellow member here, if someone is ready to help...
Was taken with a cheap 135mm 2.8 M42 lens I bought off ebay plus extension tubes. Bought the lens while shooting a project for a photo class and was/am too broke to buy a dedicated macro lens. Image should actually be rotated, as that is how I presented it but too lazy
Shot on an A850.
Sorry for the small image size, I pulled it off my Project 365 blog page..
wow, especially the first one rocks, great image, i have the 44-4 version(do you know if there are differences between the versions of Hlios 44?) but unfortunately cannot focus to infinity on D700,
