this thread is just awesome! Dan, love those shots. I tried the Nokton and I had such a bad experience with it I returned it and never thought twice of it again. Maybe I should have tried another copy Here are some more panos
And I thought I liked the Alt, 3D, & APO threads. It's like the amount of effort that goes into the pano's raises the bar to a new level.
Just when I thought I was starting to get some decent stuff going (so I can hopefully SMOKE the GWAC's around me), you guys are TOTALLY blowing me away.

Here are some pictures (all panos) that I took within span of 24 hours -- a very productive day indeed! All with sub-100$ MF lenses and a 10 dollar tripod! Stitched in ptgui.
this last one is stunning! out of curiosity what was the lens? looks like it was great day to be at the yosemite.

It was the excellent SMC takumar 50mm 1.4.
The conditions were indeed remarkable, but I also made a considerable effort to be at the right place at the right time: 11km from the road at sunset and sunrise!

Gowhow I like your shot from the Kepler track, looks like you walked it in winter... get a bit rough?
Thanks. We walked it in April (early Autumn) and the snow arrived overnight whilst we were at the Luxmore Hut (if you know it). It was a great bonus. It got a bit slippy in places but well worth the effort
Took this one last night on the way home, not much but a simple Vermont spring day green green green.
Rebel T2i, Contax 28/2.8 taken at f/8 10 shot vertical stitched in PS3 LR3 process with PS3 sharpening.
Denoir, would you share some overall impressions of Gigapan Epic Pro (beside nice pics)? How sturdy it is as a tripod head for longer exposures/focal lengths? It does look very tempting.
And this to everyone: it seems that a great rendering lens is hard to bypass no matter the achieved resolution. What do you think?
