As for the international audience, I'd rather get fewer votes and stay true to the old red, white and blue ;-).
It sucks that you find yourself in a position that you have to dodge mortar rounds, and as long as you are there, you will have my support and appreciation, but having spent a few years on this earth, I've learned one thing to ring true and that is, "things are not always as they seem to be."
I mean no offence or disrespect soldier. But having served in Bosnia and seeing the very worst of what one person can do to another, your choice of subject matter seems cold. However, good luck to you. Stay safe.
I wouldn't consider it "cold" nor are you (or I) a "tool of oppression". It's a nice shot and I appreciate the patriotism. Nothing meaningless in supporting and sacrificing for the poeples of Afghanistan and the great U.S.A. Keep 'em coming!
