I'm looking forward to the wear of the body - as long as I don't drop it I do not mind scuffs or wearing of the paint and leather'ette' (except the LCD)
The only additional stuff I'll be using is Luigi's handstrap (he's doing special versions for the X100) and his concave softrelease. I also got a B+W filter and a third party filter adaptor.
The cam will be in my pockets, filter being my cap and protection. The original cap will stay at home. Any additional weight is a no-go.
Can you believe it - I received the cam, but haven't had the time shooting it yet. It's so sad...
Only thing I've done was checking for dead pixels and other defects.
Up close at 2.8 1/1250 iso800. Don't use the macro button on the x100. Us MF and press
the AEL/AFL button for faster focusing. Love the iso on this camera! No noise reduction
was used in PP.
My X100 is now complete. I ordered the wrist strap and softrelease button from Luigi two days ago and they arrived today. He and his daughter are very nice people to deal with.
Love the softrelease, because it makes the button not only bigger, but due to the button being concave, it feels just right. The leather of the strap is also very nice, not stiff at all and feels great as well when you hold the camera.
Joseph Marney: Cool low light shot, so clean for ISO 3200. The portrait of your wife is gorgeous. Great texture, tone, while still conveying a softness to it. Nice lighting.
MJWong - Great images. I do have to ask if you don't mind. What is your trick to creating your borders? Best ones I've seen.
Fonts, font size, positioning. Really like them and would like to use these as well

Yeah! No, not really... But since I'm both shy and consider myself a serious photographer, I often feel very embarrassed when people watch me when I do my stuff. I like to be alone, crawl on the ground or whatever it takes to get the shot. I can't do that with an audience. With a small camera that makes me look like an amateur, it's OK for some reason.
i think that reason is, its better to look like an amateur dork then a professional one
