This isn't that artistic, but I kind of chuckled when I saw this guy on the pier - I think he had two 5dIIs and a 300mm and maybe an even longer lens on a monopod. The Santa Monica pier is very crowded, I can't imagine handling all that gear at once. It's what makes the shooting experience with the X100 so different.

You guys made me want to buy this camera so bad. But this little thing is so hard to get. The good news is I called up the Fuji USA today, from what they told me, they are getting large quantity of shipment next week. I am ready to buy one as soon as they got it in store.

The lens has a very bad field curvature at "landscape" distances, which is something I don't care too much about since I normally shoot details of stuff. But I can see that the borders are out of focus in these shots at f/5.6, while they are sharp at closer range. Might be good to know for the landscapers.
