I love all the lights. That thing on the right looks like some sort of strange wormhole into the unknown.
In terms of composition, it feels just a little bit "flat" to me...things seem to cluster just above the horizontal center-line. I'm not sure if there is any way to avoid that and still keep all of the whirligigs in play.
I had to use 2 CP's (faux ND), and lowest ISO possible to get a long enough exposure for the 'wormhole'. I struggled with the comp a bit myself, so I know what you mean about the 'flat' thing. Despite all the 'motion', it still has a 'static' feel to it ... but I just wasn't able to get them to move the carousel where I really wanted it.
I cropped it some to move the center line. I think it helped some. Thanks for the C&C.
Awesome idea. I really love all the motion. I agree somewhat about the flat comment. I'm wondering if a late evening deep indigo sky as a backdrop might have helped instead of the solid black? Nevertheless, I really like this entry a lot. Good luck!
It looks like still motion. I'd like to see the blur -to see the motion. It's a great shot - don't get me wrong -if you intended it to be a little lifeless.
I love all the colors and the choice of your position when taking the shot. How perfect for this assignment!
