p.1 #1 · Gamma 1, 2 or 3

Thats what my OSD says, it gives me a choice of Gamma 1, Gamma 2 or Gamma 3.

Its an AOC IPS panel. Anyone have any ideas what I should choose?

i HAD a samsung display with a tn panel and it offered met gamma 1, 2 or 3.
3 was the best...

Did you find it empirically or did by measurement? If so how?

I just calibrated mine for each of the gammas in question and Gamma 2 actually gave me the best sRGB coverage.

Im pretty pleased with this screen. Great for AU$225

at the least go to langom tests and see which one works the best

on many screens none of the presets are particualry good
on my old samsung they ranged from a pretty hilly peak quirky sort of gamma 2.4-2.7! nothing close to gamma 2.2 or sRGB TRC
