p.1 #1 · X100VI - What pieces for filter?

In tilt against fate and stuffing a horse in front - looking at how to add a filter on a camera I do not yet have in hand

I'm not after the square hoods as not looking to make it bigger. I'm not really after a hood either as I only want to weather seal the thing. Cannot seem to find what I think should be easy - lots of conflicting comments on products that look reasonable.

I want something that is as thin as possible to get a filter on while not getting errors when lens hits while racking focus or close focus.

Is it possible to get a blank ring a few mm thick and then put the filter on it? Or maybe a replacement piece with clear glass? Is there a minimal product/setup that works?

Edit: Would need the stock lens cap to also fit - seems that a number of options break that ability : shock :

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085VKBKZ5 - This will do the trick for you. There is also a one-piece adapter/filter by Nisi but you are stuck with the UV filter it comes with. The one I linked will let you use any 49mm filter. If the link does not work, be sure to remove everything before the “=“ including the sign.

I got this Haoge hood and filter adapter combination. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085V9SFTW

The hood is low profile and allows the original Fuji lens cap to be used, though I don't bother.

This Nisi one is the lowest profile option:

Unfortunately this one does not work - The OEM lens cap does not fit and it's loose.

I used this when I had a Fuji X100V - https://www.amazon.com/Kase-Protection-Filter-Fujifilm-Camera/dp/B0C4XMTWKX/

Good build quality, worked with the OEM cap, and decently slim

OEM cap fits great for me. Make sure the writing on the adapter is facing away from the camera.
