Samyang 35 2.8. Weighs about as much as 4 grains of rice.
Samyang 24 2.8. Weighs about as much as 5 grains of rice.
Samyang 18 2.8. A real porker, weighs about as much as 10 grains of rice.
If you are going to use crop mode, the 18 is 18mm full frame. Take an APS-C 1.5 crop and it's 27mm.
So it's a small, light 18-27, with full resolution at 18.
Lighter than a 10-20 and it's 2.8. Shorter than a 10-20 but a little fatter.
Stick a 24 or 35 in your pocket.

I used the 20mm F2.8 pancake for a while, but I don't miss it much. I think I sold the 16mm F2.8 before moving to full frame. I've also sold the Samyang 18mm F2.8, 24mm F2.8, and 35mm F2.8.
I've kept the little Meike 6.5mm F2, but I would be interested in a circular fisheye with more coverage.

Like others have said you have to see if that crop sensor lens will fill the image circle firstly. Secondly you'll probably have to worry about vignette and lastly since the lens wasn't meant to cover full frame it might perform poorly in the corners in terms of sharpness.there might be some other downsides to this as well. On the upside you'll have a really light setup.

Echoing what others have said:
In the past I've tried the Canon EF-S 10-22 and 15-85 lenses (via adapter) on my Sony FF bodies. Vignetting is strong at best, and strongly encroaches into the frame area at worst. Cropping to the image area is needed, but to be expected. Image quality was surprisingly good even including cropping to a 6x7 or square type format.
It's a fun thing to do if you already have the APS-C lenses, but not really practical as a normal alternative to using FF lenses on FF bodies.
p.1 #9 · Wide-angle APS-C lenses on full-frame body - thoughts?
Wide angles are the Achilles Heel of smaller sensors. It is very difficult to make rectilinear optics wider than 14mm. Narrow apertures often push right up to the diffraction limit for a smaller sensor's photosites. So to avoid diffraction you need a faster lens which cancels any size/weight benefit of the smaller image circle.
Bottom line is it is a game of diminishing returns. A full frame 16mm f/4 lens compared to a 10mm f/2.8 lens giving reasonably similar results is roughly the same size. So there's no benefit.

Sounds like the 10-18 or new 10-20 E lenses are perfect for you. Dunno if the 10-20 can do what the 10-18 can and be used in FF with some vignetting.
This was shot on a 10-18 on an A7R4 with the full sensor. (ƒ/4 1/125 14mm (ish) ISO250)
Godox AD200 + extra HVL-45 sony flash.
No image straightening in lightroom. edit: added quick correction, I am not really good at this. (yet?)
First easter during Covid, only masks we owned.
Edited.

I'd think that the a6000 series lighter but if you are just carrying the uwa on the side, in addition to other lenses I mean it's presumably as good on ff aps vs actual crop body.
Certainly should be fine might lose more DR than resolution. But I use crop anyway still have the 11 16
R series has better res I guess, A7IV shouldn't be too bad. I've used 8mp canon aps lots including some recently so 24mp ff might be OK in aps.

I have a7r4 and a7r5 - not ready to downgrade to a6xxx series as I like what full body offers. But I can consider smaller lens.
It depends on what you need and already have: here I have the Sigma 17/4.0 as my crazy wide. It's lighter and much smaller than the 16-35 PZ, which I was happy with on the A7R3, but am unhappy with on the A7R5 (since the Cosina primes I have in that range are noticeably better).
Since I don't need humongous resolution for the crazy superwide shots, the somewhat funky 17/4.0 is fine. (It really is fine. It's just that using a lens with that much distortion (albeit automagically corrected) disturbs.)
Anyway, if you have 24-70 covered, and just need an occassional superwide shot (and can live without zoom), the 17/4.0 is fine. And probebly even smaller than an APS-C zoom.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the idea, if you're happy with the APS-C lenses. Personally, I'd rather invest in one the smaller UWA primes (Voigtlander 15/4.5, Laowa 14/4) and use crop-to-zoom down to 24mm or so. At least then you're in control of the resolution loss. While they're both manual lenses, slow UW's are the easiest manual lenses to use.

The only wide lens (wider than 28mm) I have is Loxia 21 2.8. I though that a tiny performing native zoom could be nice for travel - I can have it in my bag without noticing it. Loxia 21 is still substantial to carry around and not use.
P.S. Realized I have Ultron 21 1.8 but that's M-mount. I hardly use it. Hope, I'm not forgetting some other lenses...
