p.1 #1 · 7d mk 2 shutter count

Hi all,

I am using Canon 7d Mk2 but although I put my effort to find clear information on how to learn the shutter count, was unable.

Please advise on what is the best way to learn it.

I do not understand why Canon does not make life easy sometimes...!

Thanks in avdance for all messages..

Regards

Astrophotography tool APT does far more than you need but will give you an accurate shutter count of the 7D Mk II.

I guess I made it..says 16517 shutter count. That is shown on the bottom left side. Is that correct?

I downloaded the astro app as I'd been hoping for a means to test the 5D-IV 5DS-R and 6D-II on Windows 10.

I have zero previous knowledge of astro.

Is there a simple way to find the shutter count? I was drowned in information - only to be expected as the apps purpose is niche. I tried a 5D-IV first and the camera is recognised in the Log file but what from there? Yikes!

Easy, connect your camra to the computer, enter the astro app program, turn on your camera. Then on the left bottom the shutter will appear. With same zero knowledge I made it yesterday.
Cheers,
Mesut

APT seems to work fine for my 6D and 7D2, but not my 5DSR.

Anyone know how to get shutter actuations for a 5DSR? TIA.
