p.1 #1 · Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Commander

Trying to get this to work like an old school cable release has me wanting to dust off my old cameras and just start burning film again. Well, not really and although I still shoot some film, I would like to use this to make one exposure at a time, some of which would be rather long. Hope that I haven't celebrated too many birthday to understand this piece of equipment. Help! Thank in advance for bailing me out of this one.

Not sure if this helps, but I use it in bulb mode for long exposures. Is that what you are trying to do?

OK, I got it. Set exposure to manual and shutter speed to bulb and push the button. Couldn't be easier. I need to make sure I take my medications. Thanks, <{B( Biil "The Pinhead"

Yes, you press , hold and slide it down to lock it. When you are finished you press and slide up to unlock.

This might help.

I'm new to Sony and it took me forever to find out how to get the camera in bulb mode Also make sure you are not in continuous auto focus mode.
