p.1 #2 · XCD 80mm f1.9 - The search for the holy grail.
I used one during a shoot the other day, though I haven't really had a chance to go through my photos. It's definitely sharp, AF on a pre-production X1D II seemed reasonable (if not snappy), and I found the ergonomics to be excellent (though I am a masochist and accustomed to Sigma Art primes, and Hasselblad's H system). I'm trying to restrain myself from ordering until used ones start popping up for sale, though I'm not sure I'll be able to. Here's a JPEG straight out of camera at f/2.0: http://imgur.com/a/PSU5wQm .
If you are ok with adapting glass (the newest versions will do AF just fine on the X-H adapter), the HC 100/2.2 is the lens that I miss most from my HC setup. It's a little "dreamy" at f/2.2, but pin-sharp by f/2.8, considerably cheaper than the new 80mm on the used market, quite lightweight, and a really special lens overall. The new 80 is more "clinical," though I can't compare the bokeh for outdoor shooting at this point.

Thanks I think I'm pretty set on buying the 80mm, about to head off to Ireland for a week or so then I will order the combo on my return.
Your image just helps reinforce the choice and the art of the photography channel really sold it to me last night

I have never used the lens, but so far what I've heard and from the sample photos it is probably the best lens of the XCD lens lineup. You'll love it, I'm sure. If the lenses weren't so expensive, I'd get one too with a X1D II.
