I do believe they are all sourced from Sony
shortly there will be a firmware upgrade to support both XQD and CFexpress starting with the D5, D500, Z6, Z7
Plus the D850, curious wether Nikon will upgrade the D4(s) too...
Personally I'm more than satisfied regarding speed using the XQD 2933x Lexar cards allthough I'm sure there will be a noticeable gain in speed regarding cycletimes and as a result greater bufferdepth.
Guess the D5 (same cards) and Zs (single card) will gain the most, the D500/D850 to a lesser extent if used in dual card mode together with the slow SDcards.
Biggest win however will be availability with more manufacturers (Apacer, Delkin, Lexar, PGD, Sandisk(?), Sony(?), Wise Advanced) entering the CFexpress market and more camerabrands adopting this format prices will come down.
Interesting to learn what Sony will do, will they keep using the (new 7.0) SD cards or will they switch to CFE (2.0)
