I thought about the 20m. Considering the 35mm lens I think this may be a good choice when shooting people (not street photography). I was just concerned that there was no way to rotate it.

Does it not block the EVF? I've used lots of flashes and all of them block the EVF.

I owned the HVL 20M before and wasn't too happy with it.

I have not tried the combo myself, but according to for instance Chad Wadsworth it does. (I have the Godox 350 which does block the EVF)

You can always shave a bit (if it will not com promise the commander or the flash) off the commander or the flash to fit the camera.

Interesting. Either way I'm not a fan of the FV20M. I'd rather have something more capable like the Godox 350 even if it means I can't use the EVF.

Kind of a poor design decision with the RX1RII...I can't imagine the designers didn't consider that the EVF would be obstructed by most speedlights.

Sorry to bump this, but has anyone tried the Holga 12S on the camera? Still tossing up the idea of the rx1 vs the rx1rii, I really love the idea of the pop up flash, but also the built in EVF seems super handy. I�m not sure however if I could use the EVF of the rii with the 12S

Not sure about evf clearance, but I love my Nissin i40 because it's very small and has decent power and easy controls, plus full tilt and swivel.
