i got this lens after a long studied, i must have read most all reviews online, this tamron 24-135mm is deffinetly a sleeper lens, its so kool , i love it alot...ive sold my canon 28-135mm IS, and nikon 28-105mm , nikon 24-120mm, tokina 24-200mm, to replaced them with this tamron..this tamron 24-135mm is probably only lens you need..of course you'll miss the 200mm, but i like to stay in midrange lens for less barrel distortion..add on with a tokina 80-200mm f2.8, i got myself a great set of lenses. this tamron is a sure shots, i dont see anything wrong with it at all, despired many bad reviews out there, perhaps not all lenses can work with all bodies..i use mine on fuji s2 pro, its works great, very sharp images, nice contrast, great colors..light weigh, compact, good price..great range..fast af..anything else?.. its may be will married to my s2 pro for a long time...nothing is wrong with this lens..i strongly suggest any one who wants a 1 lens does all..great for weddings, and parties..works great with my flash for indoor shots too..
it comes with hood and a pouch..very nice touch..its the sp model, stand for super performance..with gold ring on zoom ring, to say its series..
im happy and settle for this, its may be best in its range..
im tempting on buy the sigma 24-135mm f2.8 too..
oh!, btw, i also got the tamron 28-105mm f2.8, its another killer..very pro like series..i love it too..

my only grip is for those who had bad experience with this lens, donno what to say, but i got myself a great deal, i paid 213$ on ebay..new is about 300$, i love mine..

can be expensive if buy new, about 800-1000$, but buy used is not bad at all, the rubber zoom ring tends to comes unglued. over size can be disadvantage..but looks great.

i bought this lens after ive sold my canon 28-135mm IS,nikon 28-105mm and my nikon 24-120mm, these 3 lenses were just not good enough for my taste.
i got this tamron lens for 281$ on ebay used. but in very nice shape.
its looks great and does great. for its over size , gigantic, huge lens..may be the biggest lens made in its range. comes with an over size petal hood. its a very sharp lens if step down on f stops..great colors and details contrast, not to mention its colors are neutral.it may stays on my fuji s2 pro 75% at time..
for those who has negative reviews on it, i do feel sorry for them..this may be best lens tamron made..i got the newer model on this lens, the diff is the zoom ring, its got grooves zoom ring, instead of tamron logo on it , like the pic shows here. tamron has informed me that its changed the cosmetic looks only, nothing to do with performances.
i love this lens and highly recommended.
a pro lens for less.

i got this bogen tripod set in ebay for 85$ total, its the 3021 bogen legs w/ bogen 3220 head. watta deal!!! , best buy by far. the entire tripod is adjustable, all the locks are tight and firm. with many screws to tighten or adjusting. i tighten up all the screws before i use it, and its sooo solid and sturdy. to move it to your desire positions by smooth and firmly moves on this bogen, they sure know how to build tripods, best. i feel so secured with my cam mounted on it. strong build and heavy weigh. this tripod can extend in full over my head..and im 5'6". its way up there, mb 7 foot tall?..
highly recommended.

i bought this tokina 24-200mm for my canon 300d, used in ebay for 139$, in excel condi.. after 2 weeks of testing, i SOLD it. xory to let it go, it was a nicely build lens, i really like its build and feel, but i just couldnt get it to be sharp, in all ranges, i got soft, and glares images. i tried to shoot it at higher f stops too..but still soft..not sure if i got a lemmon, but i couldnt keep it. i replaced it with the tokina atx pro 28-70mm f2.8 one, and that is alot better deal.

well, i have the tokina atx pro 28-70mm f2.6-f2.8 AF version 4. for only 139$ on ebay, used but in excel condi. i test it alot, and so far it gives me nothing but satisfaction, 1st and for most its build is really pro, very sturdy and rugged..nice flat black finish for none glares i guess. zoom ring is smooth but tight..big front element of 77mm , comes with a matching pedal hood, metal mount..its looks awesome on my fuji s2 pro. with its f2.6-2.8 i can shoot indoor w/o prob. well, w/f2.8 its not at its best on sharpness, but i expect that..its just good enough..with higher f stops , its produces amazing images. colors are very true, good contrast, sharpness is par.. it also comes with a nice leather case too..it may be heavy for some, but not for me, i got used to older heavy lenses. heavy means solid build, i use it mostly for everyday shooting..or weddings.
i also have its bigger brother in arm. the atx pro 80-200mm f2.8 AF. no difference than its 28-70mm, they are family for real, both are best buy for its range. for that reasons, i have sold most and all my nikon lenses to replaced with atx pros. cuz most new nikon lenses are made in thailand and cheapo plastic lenses. i preferred all metal build. highly recommended.

i bought this lens for 4 weeks now, after read alot of reviews about it, indeed a very nice lens, i tested shot over 2-300 shots already, im very please with it, 1st impression was WOW!!!..watta lens, its huge*&, its over size is a thriller. not that heavy, well build with some kinda of plastic, but metal mount, i leave the hood cap on the lens, and i added a metal 82mm hood on it too, to preventing it from flares. so far i have no flares yet, cuz i dont intend to shoot against the sun..with its big fisheye lens, one should know it would cuz flares if you are not becareful. i shot many shots with it indoor with my dome flash at 15mm, it works perfect..very bright and contrasty, and sharp..colors are fine too, outdoors it seems under control with barrel distortion. no fringes. i use it on my fuji s2 pro. dont know anything wrong about it. well!, i paid only 207$ on ebay, used but in excel condi, for that price, its unbeatable..15mm = 22.5mm on my fuji s2. i love it so far. i havent tried add filters on it yet, i dont care for filters that much, as they seem to soften off images..anyhuu!, its a great lens in all aspects. especially the price, highly recommended..a true 5 stars.

my only complain is for those who had bad experience w/it..xory, but its a great lens, may be its just the operator..or the cam body it mounted on..its not the lens. i would love to buy another sigma gold ring lens.
