Pros:
|
wide aperture,
superb build quality,
practical lens hood,
very sharp
|
Cons:

a little slow focus

This lens is awesome.
You can't imagine how fun such a large aperture can be.
I get a little paranoid about scratching the rear element, but I'll get over it
Canons definitive portrait lens.
Image quality is excellent. (I noticed a little CA tho')

A truly excellent lens.
The build quality is exceptional.
I use it primary for macro work, but it's also good for portraiture.
The focus ring is very broad and feels nice.
For macro a no-brainer
