I use this on my 5d3 every week to take pictures of my kids. I love it because its very light as if I don't have any lens on my camera. The background is not as good as 50/f1.2 but for the price this is pretty good.

I have this lens for a while and I love it. I always use this lens for outdoor portraiture and I always shoot at f/1.8. The lens is sharp and has a nice color.

Canon 17-40 is a good lens for landscape photography. Its a great value L lens too. I own this lens since November 2007 and I love it. I took most pictures using this lens and the quality is good as the 24-105.
