User interface and accessories pretty identical to my other camera - D7100. I only shoot Raw and images are terrific. Don't miss the D700 any more.

Price. Lens collar is sub par even though it is a bit better than the lens collar for the older version. Get the Kirk collar.

On a Nikon D700, edges ultra soft at apertures wider than f8

i bought one for use with my D700. i plan to use it for landscape work. i find my copy very sharp between f8 and f22. between f2.8-f8, i find it very soft. may be its my copy. i plan to get a used 35-70f2.8 and keep one of the two.
