Using this primarily for insect macro. Compares favorable to the microNikkor 60 on sharpness with, as expected, much better working distance. Hand-holdable with flash bracket mounted to the tripod socket - makes a very flexible rig.
I've had great results as a modest telephoto as well - sharp pictures, good bokeh. Excellent color and contrast.
Does start to lose sharpness up close at apertures smaller than f/11.
