Pros:

got some sharp images of the moon in a tripod at F/14 no UV filter,
I can't think of any other, oh! the foam paded lens case, better then canon's and nikon

super slow and noise focus, hunts, lens creaps, fits looose in Nikon D90 body,

may be good as a cheap start up, I got some sharp images of the moon, until I removed the UV filter, F/14 and in a tripod, (UV filters will make images a bit softer)
Images comes out with a brownish color, lens creep like s...t,
super slow and noise focus,
it fitted loose in my nikon D90, ( now I am in the canon side)
my lens looked great and solid, paint was great and like new,
it didn't pealed off like others say,
any way I don't recomend this lens
if you are not in a hurry, save the money for the canon EF 300 F/4 IS USM or the 100-400 IS if you preffer the zoom option,
or if you are a nikon user buy the chinise lens 70-300 non VR for about $125.00 or switch to canon wich has more variety of lenses then nikon, (exactly what I did)
I am not trying to say nikon is not good, but good nikkor lenses are way too expensive,
read a lot a reviews here in another websites beafore you buy,

I found this TC in c...gs list from a local guy, it is pristine like new on it's box,
I was able to test it at the site with my 7D and 300 F4 IS USM,

I Recomend to test it in a tripod and with manual focus, you can deal with the micro adjustments later if your camera suports it.
I recomend you read a lot before you decide to buy it.

very sharp lens, great for close up, minimum focus distance 1.5 meter can be switch to 3 m, IS, USM, I like the push and pull hood,(yes it can be locked when extended) it makes the polarizer filter a lot easier to use.

none, and the IS is not noisy in my copy,

first pictures came out with soft focus, I did the micro adjustment in my 7D to +12 and problem solved, so make sure your camera has the micro adjustment feature before you buy this lens,
I also recommend you buying from a dealer in your area, were you can walk in, test the lens in your camera and take it with you if you buy it,
trying to avoid sales tax from out of states online sales, may bring you problems, a lot of calls shipping lens back and all that bad stuff.

Does not extend, constant aperture, wheather sealed, not heavy at all,
color is tan and not white,

cheap plastic hood and cheap leans pouch included, IS is noisey like the worn out cooling fan of my computer, lens some times hunts in cloudy days,

Note; in my prebious review I said that I recomend this lens,
I will like to add that I recomend this lens only if you have the oportunity to return it or exchange it if you're not happy with it,
and because this lens has moving parst inside (IS) I only recomend buying a new one.

I had this lens for about two weeks beafore returning it,
I was getting softer images with this lens and a 7D then my Nikon D90 with the cheap chinese 70-300 non VR, wich I sold allready to help me buy the 7D,
I tried the micro AF adjustment and manual focusing with no luck,
then when I noticed that I was getting similar results with the EF-S 18-135 lens and worst with the kit lens EF 28-135, I returned my 7D to costco and re-order another 7D.
reason I am giving an 8 is because I never was able to get better results then my D90 or probe that this lens is very sharp, even that I think it was the 7D fault,
I will post my new findings for the new 7D in that forum when I have the time to compare it with the images of 7D I returned.
some times I think that too many pixels in such a small sensor was the cause,
maybe I am wrong, I hope.
I am trying to look back to nikon but their lenses are way too expensive, that is the reason switched to canon.
