Pros:
|
Lightweight, FAST, state of the art, works wonders
|
Cons:
|
A little small but the grip fix's that

I had Nikon before, D300, D300s, D700 and a D7K but went and switched to Cano* and have returned to Nikon because simply put the D7000 does everything I need it to do in a lightweight camera, it is the best of the bunch that I have handled and used. They all did very well even the 7D by the Cano* but I came back to this little marvel - it performs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Handles very well, operates smoothly, I use a mono-pod but can hand hold it as well and get good results. I must state that this is my second copy, the 1st one would take a picture with focus good but if you moved the zoom or tried again it would not focus at all, the motor would not even try.
My replacement operates as it should but I am a little leary of the quality now. Images taken with it can be seen at www.johneasterly.com

Pros:

Small, Fast Focusing, Locks in place so it does not creep out when carrying like the 100-400 does, feels like and handles like a dream, build quality is like a super tank

Cons:

None

Using this lens this weekend on a T2i it worked great, I captured more sharp in-focus hand held shots than I ever got with my 100-400 L simply because I can handle the weight better when hand holding. Zoom ring placement takes getting used to but overall it fits my use

I have had all of the Rebel Series and this one is by far the best performer yet for the price. Using the BG grip lets me handle it with ease, I find it to be a top notch performer in it's intended price point. Far exceeding a couple of higher priced models to boot.
