I got this as a replacement for my trusted 28-70 f2.8. I was skeptical of all the great reviews, but this lens has lived up to the hype. Tack sharp results when paired with my 1DX MKII.
I would have preferred a better lens hood, seeing as it's a general purpose lens, I was expecting something similar to the previous models. Almost feels like an afterthought in regards to being able to protect the front element.
Other than that this is a great lens and well worth the cost and highly recommended.
