Pros: VC, sharpness, color, contrast, build, price.
Cons:
82mm filter, distortion at 24mm

The first reviewer gives this lens a 7 and he doesn't even own it. "Canon MK II is 1/3 sharper?" What does that mean? Every review I've read gives this lens a higher rating than the org. Canon 24-70. I agree. I've had the Canon L, the Sigma HSM, the 24-105L, the Tamron 28-75 and this is the best. I use it on a 5D MK II and it makes a perfect walk-around for me. The VC is amazing on this lens!

Pros: Good value per cost. Sharp. Build. Nice look to images. Bokeh is great.
Cons:
Heavy. 82mm filter.

I read alot of reviews/comments about this lens and was a little hesitant to purchase it. It is my 4th Sigma lens and none of them have disappointed me. I had a Tamron 28-75 that I used before this that I was fairly satisfied with but it never wowed me like Tamron's 17-50. I use this as my walk around on my 5D MKII. it is great combination. I am most surprised with the quality of the bokeh. It is very good.

Pros: Great IQ, bokeh, price, fun to use, well-balanced, build, fast-focusing.
Cons:
None I can think of.

In slowly converting back to all prime lenses, I found this lens to be a much better fit than the Canon 85 1.8 for me. I had the Canon and it never wowed me like my 135 f2 and my 200 f2.8. This lens wows me and the focusing has been right on and reasonably fast. An excellent and reasonably priced alternative to the pricey Canon 85 1.2L. This is one of my favorites!

Pros: Price, light weight, very sharp (see comments)
Cons:
Had to get 3 before I got a good one.

Third times the charm. I had to get 3 of these to get a good one, but now it is stuck to my 5D. I get very sharp images with this one. Fist one soft, second one vignettes on lower left and upper right corners (???????), third one spectacular!!
