I'm no professional photographer but I can say this is a very good lens when you're planning to upgrade from your kit lens. It's very light weight and you wouldn't feel much of a difference compared to your kit lens when your camera is hanging to your neck. Focuses really fast and very accurate. The only thing a noticed is the really the very vissible vignetting specially in low light (can easily be fixed with Lightroom's lens correction). - Mersang
