I'm very happy with my decision to buy the 70-300L. I didn't have any interest in this until I read a review that talked about the extremely fast auto focus along with it being sharp wide open. This is the slowest lens I have in terms of max aperture and my only variable aperture zoom. I was reluctant because the f/4-5.6 range is usually associated with lesser lenses. I'm very happy with the build and performance of this.
