Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

Review Date: May 4, 2011 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: This lens can compete with primes in terms of sharpness and contrast. I use mainly prime lenses, cos I felt generally that zoom lenses are sub standard. This lens changes my mind totally.

Got this lens for 1mth buy now. Shot many frames with it, and it has won my confidence back for canon's zoom lenses. this guy produces images just slightly behind my 200f2. If you cannot afford the 200f2, this is the next best option. The image quality is better than the 200f2.8L. Geat job done by the Canon's engineers.

Will be uploading my samples to

Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM

Review Date: Jan 8, 2011 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $2,074.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Solid build, very well controlled distortion, weather sealed, and razor sharp.
No filter to protect front elements, but I guess it can be serviced by canon if scratched!

I had this lens for about 1 mth. Too some shot in Taiwan and I must say I am amazed by how well distortion is controlled with such a wide angle lens.

Review Date: Aug 21, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Fast AF, Solid IS, very hand holdable, Sharp, Solid build
Expensive, hard to find bag to fit it in, Lens Cover hard to keep

Just had this lens for about 2 weeks, taken mostly indoor low light shots at 1/40sec to 1/125 sec hand held with 1DM3. Result is spectacular. The IS really lives up to expectation and the AF is really fast even at low light.

Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM

Review Date: Apr 3, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Light, Lightning Fast AF, Bokeh is amazing
No IS.

This is my lastest addition to my L collections. I have the 85LmkII, 300F4L, but this lens gave me the most satisfaction in terms of AF speed and the bokeh it generates. Color of the photos are also top notch on par with 85L.

I use this 135L mainly for sports, the picture quality gives you the feeling of a 400F2.8L or even the 500F4L.

If you are still considering whether to get it or not...I will say, don't wait any longer. Should have gotten this lens before the 85F1.2L.

Canon EOS 1D Mark III

Review Date: Mar 15, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: A solid camera, never fails me and superb battery life.
Can only select 19 out of the 45 AF pts.

I had this camera for like 1.5 years now. It is so reliable that I now become lazy to bring a backup camera during my assignment. Did not encounter any of the AF issues mention under hot temp and bright lighting.
