Pros: The sensor in progress from EOS 7D. Easy to use. Not the best, but good everywhere.
Cons:
Some switches disposal, too much like EOX xxx series.

Used one since 2015 with some satisfaction but one day I decided it was time to upgrade.
Before the 70D, I had a 7D since 2009 and found the sensor to be much more better on 70D but the metering accuracy was a lot better with the old 7D.
I wanted a second camera in order to get one with wide angle lens and the other fitted with tele zoom. I was faced a dilemma: The 70D for image quality or 7D for accuracy and build quality ?
First, I bought a 6D + 24-70mm F4. Wooaah ! First impressed by image quality, especially in low light. It is not a legend. And so easy to control !
Then, holding it during hours and hours, I began to found the lens so heavy. Then the AF was not so ... How to say, the 7D was miles ahead.
At the end, changed the the 6D, it was new, for a 7D2. It was top but I quickly realised that I was permanently changing the settings to get the top quality photos. And they were, but the pleasure gone.
So, I went back to my usual store, they know me now, and looked to Nikon 7500D. Certainelly a great competitor. But how to say, the ergonomy is miles from simplicity. And no tip-top quality lens to fit on at an acceptable price.
It remembered me when I was looking for my first DSLR : Big deal between Canon EOS 30D and Nikon D200. such a brain storming but the facility to use primed and I get the 30D, and never regret.
At the end (you're still here ?), I bought a second 70D and now I am happy. I can do quite everything with at no brain storming !
The end.
