Pros:

Extremely sharp lens, good autofocus speed, excellent contrast and colorful image, good construction and it's f/4 to all focal lenght.

Cons:

Not a really smooth zoom, bad design of tripod collar and misplaced with zoom ring, Big filter 82mm $$$, Weight...But it is a problem???

- Razor sharp
- 10x ratio zoom
- Fast HSM focus
- Smooth focus ring
- Price (for this kind of lens)
- Build like a tank

Cons:

- Heavy, heavy,heavy
- A smooth zoom??? Not really!
- Can't lock zoom at any range. (needed when the lens is vertical)
- HUGE filter size 86mm (coarse)
- Maybe faster aperture...
- Tripod mount is really hard to move
