sigma35
Review Date: Oct 29, 2013 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $880.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharpness, colours, bokeh, build everything is top class on this lens
Cons:
None

A fantastic lens for a rather low price. And one of the sharpest fast lenses when using it wide open.

Review Date: Jan 9, 2013 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Build, bokeh, Zeiss colors, the focus throw
Cons:
Price, size

It's a fantastic wide angle lens with really great IQ. The bokeh and background blur is the best I have seen on a wide angle lens. It can be a bit difficult to do MF on the largest apertures.

Pros: Build, Rather sharp, AF, Price
Cons:
f/4

It's a descent wide angle zoom for a rather good price. Similar image quality as the 16-35 lens.

Review Date: Sep 29, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 7

Pros: Very fast,Build
Cons:
A bit soft at large apertures, expensive

Very similar to the 85/1,2. But not as sharp as that lens. Especially wide open or close you will see the difference.
Fantastic ability in low light.

Canon EOS 5D

Review Date: Sep 15, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 8

Pros: Exellent image quality, ISO performance, 12,8 megapixel
Cons:
Build quality (compared to the 1 series), Buffer, frames per second

Image quality is exellent. If you upgrade from a 10D, 20D or similar camera it's really fantastic. But if you come from a 1 series camera it also has many disappointments.

It's a nice lens with good image quality

Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX Macro 1:1 Lens

Review Date: Mar 9, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $270.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Sharp, 1:1 life size macro, cheap price, nice finish
Cons:
lens barrel extends a lot

I bought the EX DG version after using the non-DG for a week. But I can't really see any diference in image quality.
It's a sharp lens for a very good price

Canon EF 17-35mm f/2.8L USM

Review Date: Mar 9, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 6

Pros: Good range, good build quality, constant f/2,8
Cons:
A bit soft wide open, sharpness

It's soft wide open and also a bit soft in the corners. The 16-35 is a little bit better but they are very similar

Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM

ef500mmf_4_1_
Review Date: Nov 9, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $6,000.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharpness wide open, Build quality is great, Super-fast AF, Good contrast, IS
Cons:
Very expensive

I have the 300/2,8 IS lens. This lens is just like a longer version of that lens. Image quality and everything else is just the same.
A great lens for birding and also sport. I have only used the lens for a month so I need a bit more practise on my long lens technic. It's a good lens to handhold if you rest a bit between your shooting.
And it works perfect with extenders.

Canon Extender EF 2x II

Extender_2x2_1_
Review Date: Jun 30, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $300.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: 2X focal length for a small cost
Cons:
Only good image quality with the super-tele lenses

Works really good on my 300/2,8 IS lens. A good thing instead of buying the 600mm lens if you only need it sometime.
But the image quality together with zoom lenses are not so good.

Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM

ef28-300_35-56lisu
Review Date: Jun 24, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 6

Pros: IS, Big zoom range
Cons:
f/3,5 - f/5,6,

A very big zoom range, and good if you only like to bring one lens. But image quality will never be top notch with this zoom range. But it's rather good.
And I don't like when the maximum aperture isn't the same over the whole zoome range.

Review Date: Jun 24, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 7

Pros: Build quality, colour & contrast, f/2,8
Cons:
soft wide open

Good build quality. And very good colours & contrast. But it's soft wide open. For low ligt shooting a little bit soft but very good to landscape shooting.

The sharpness is fantastic. Colours & Contrast is also perfect. And the bokeh is incredible.
One of the best lenses that I have used.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L USM

ef85mmf_12_1_
Review Date: Jul 15, 2004 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,450.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Very fast, Sharp, Great bokeh
Cons:
Heavy, A little bit slow AF (but not as slow as people say)

Very sharp and very good image quality. A great portrait lens with amazing bokeh.
And I didn't like the hood. It rotate on the lens. Same kind of hood as the 85/1,8 lens.

1ef200mmf_28_1_1_
Review Date: Mar 13, 2004 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $610.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Very sharp, Build quality, Light & Compact,
Cons:
None

Very sharp even wide open. Very close to my favorite lens (135 f/2L) in everything. It looks and feels the same. The image quality is nearly the same also.
