Review Date: Feb 26, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $480.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Tack Sharp, price is right.
Cons:

I purchase it second hand without the tripod ring, after all, I think I got a good copy, I don't have the bad experience like other people, the focus is accurate. HSM is an advantage. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with that. I also have the Canon 70-300mm IS whch is very light weight. Compared to it, this is heavy but the image of Sigma is gorgeous.

Pros: Solid built, good quality, picture is sharp.
Cons:
No real filter thread.

Want to have a wide angle lens, the original Canon is too pricey. And the 12-24mm is not compatible with full frame, although I only got a APC digital, but plan to upgrade in the future, also I like to use film cameras as well. So this is the perfect choice for me. And the picture comes out sharp. only one thing to critizise - no real thread for filter. Of course, you can adapt the lens hood which can mount a 72mm filter. However, when I use it will my EOS-3, I still got vignet while I use it with hood. In spite this, I still give a ten to this lens for the money I paid and the outcome I get.

Pros: Sharp. IS function works very well, compare to 70-200mm, this is a good deal.
Cons:
No full time manual.

This is a very good lens, espically the IS function, it helps a lot when I shoot at 300mm range. Although a is not as sharp as the famous 70-200mm. But the price is just half of it. And you gain another 100mm. Highly recommanded.

Sigma 24-60mm f2.8 EX DG Lens

Review Date: May 2, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $299.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Very Sharp, even better than the previous version 24-70mm. Well built body.
Cons:
Opposite zoom ring direction, need time to get used to.

The image quality is much much higher than what you paid. I believe this is the cheapest f2.8 lens you can find in the market with good quality optic image and a well built body. I'm very happy with it using on my 400D. It also compatiable with full frame for your future upgrade. Highly recommand.
