Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC

Review Date: Jan 1, 2015 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $325.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Nice sharp optics if you get a properly centered lens. For the price, its a beautiful piece of glass.
The distance scale on the lens isn't even close. Why bother even putting one in the design, if you aren't going to calibrate it at the factory? Because this is a manual focus lens, having an inaccurate distance scale can make focusing difficult. Even with live view zoomed in 10x on a tripod it can be difficult. I got some great landscape shots with it but I'm still not sure if they could have been a little better if the focus was more accurate.

Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 L IS USM

Review Date: Dec 19, 2014 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,200.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Optics, Image Stabilization, Fast accurate autofocus, Solid build, Nice lens cap haha
Haven't found any yet.

The optics are great, I love the sharpness and contrast right into the corners if I did my part. The colors are good and fringing is well controlled. The flare is also well controlled and sun stars have great definition and shape. The image stabilization is useful and effective. I also like the vignette, it can help give some images a natural looking pop, but can be eliminated with a mouse click if I don't want it. I keep this lens on my 5d3 90% of the time lately and haven't found any reason to complain yet.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM

Review Date: Jul 9, 2011 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharp, Fast AF, lightweight and cheap compared to the 2.8 IS II
None. I knew it wasn't designed to be a low light lens when i bought it. It has lived up to all my expectations.

Great lens, great optics. Small and light enough to take along on all my outdoor adventures.

Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Review Date: Jul 9, 2011 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Great optics, accurate auto focus, discreet,
none given the small size and moderate price

My favorite lens for portrait photography and around the house snapshots. It is small and black and doesn't draw attention which makes for easy candid shots. It takes sharp photos which helps make photos pop. The auto focus is accurate and plenty fast for me. I bought it instead of a 50mm and sometimes wish it had a bigger aperture. I don't mind using high ISO or flash in low light as a trade-off for awesome optical performance.
