Cons:

do not see any on canon 30D

I have only used it on a crop sensor camera - Canon 30D. This is the 5th Zeiss ZF lens I have used (not counting Contax) and I can say it is very good. Sharpness is very good, very little postprocessing is needed. I do not need to add any contrast at all. I have not used other lenses this wide apart from canon EF-S 10-22, which while nice was not as good. I have to stress though that i can not comment on the corner sharpness due to the camera I use!

CA, focusing without tripod and live view may be tricky
|
|
Sold my 85L to free up money for this lens. I was partly motivated by its fame I have to admit. It did not disappoint me, but i wish I had a better camera to use it on. Focusing on canon 30D was difficult, especially for subjects far away. On a FF camera with live view it would shine.
I can also confirm that it had that CA wide open - the one you get with fast lenses almost always.
I sold it at the end, because the macro function was of no use to me and keeping this expensive lens for infrequent use for landscapes did not seem right.
Might buy again when I have more money

Cons:

no live view, high ISO

a very dependable camera, my third DSLR. Bought it as a stopgap before jumping FF. Been there for years now
I like this camera as I bought it used for little money. It has never let me down. The only shortcoming is the lack of live view, but then it was not available at the time anyway. I do not shoot high ISO with it, but i believe you can use it up to 800 easily.

live view, auto focus quite good, viewfinder

Cons:

not much really

My second DSLR, I was so glad to upgrade from 400D that I can not imagine going back. a handy tool this camera. live view especially handy with Zeiss glass I use. Now I am dreaming of FF camera. I would stay with this one if my preference was not the wide angle. Not much into wildlife and sports.

Pros:

inexpensive, light, reliable
|
Cons:
|
high ISO noise, auto focus could be better

This was the first SLR I used. great tool to learn photography, very affordable. Now I use xxD line and would not want to go back. The viewfinder of the bigger ones is nicer and of course they feel better in hand. However, if you are just starting or do not plan to shoot a lot, this is a very good choice!
