I bought this item sometime in 2008, and it has hasn't failed. As a retired manager-turned-professional photographer, this has been my workhorse on weddings and other events. Always deliver those images rich in color and contrast, especially when paired with my EOS 5D Mark II with high keeper rate...Won't let you down.

The lens is heavy when combined with an EOS 5D Mark II or EOS 7D, both coupled with battery grips, and 580 EX II Speedlites. A bit expensive considering that this is the original version of the 70-200 2.8 series, introduced in the early years of 21st century.
