Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II

Review Date: Feb 16, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Image quality is superiour....second to none (DSLR)
None - zip - Nada. I dont even weep over the price I paid - worth every Euro.

This is the best investment ive made buying equipment - ever !

Used to be Nikon F3HP - but that was a while ago :-)

This camera delivers beyond your wildest dreams. Had the Canon 1D mark 2, but sold it after 2 months - It was surely a nice camera, but it did not do the trick for me, coming from a 6mp Canon. So i sold it for this new top-of-the-line camera.

I know that this will be the first camera ive owned, that does not need replacement within a couple of years due to lack of performance or resolution.

This will be enough even in 10 years time to deliver professionel prints to customers.

Beware of which lenses you attach to this monster - itll eat bad lenses for sure. Primes are at their best with the new 1Ds2

Applause - Canon - Very well done

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L USM

Review Date: Dec 21, 2004 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,300.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: I cannot wait to produce modelling and weddings with this awesome lens. Initial testshots indicates that every positive post on this lens is true.
However - It is slow, but i believe that i will learn to master it manually faster than the USM will AF on a subject. This is also keeping you sharp as a photographer doing things manually ;-)

So far my testshots are just for my own sake, but they show that you get what you pay for with this De-Luxe 85er. I was anxious about the size of it, - cause it IS huge....but to my surprise the 1D mrkII seem to feel very balanced with this lens on.

Tack-sharp even wide open.....

Bokeh.....come again....this 85er invented the term it ;-)

Awwww man - this is truly awesome....had the Nikkor 85/1.4 Ais and loved it - and missed it for a couple of I am back on track.

Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM

Review Date: Dec 13, 2004 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $970.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: This is a tack-sharp portrait and also very usefull for candidshots. By fast I mean FAST....i believe this is as fast as they come.
None - even price is a steal

Bring this lens whenever you go for a walk or do portraits in studio - will not let you down. Colors are beautifull and on the warm side.
