Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

Review Date: Jun 14, 2010 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Superb sharp at 2.0 Makes a really nice soft image at Fstop 1.4 On my ASP-H sensor (1.3) its a good small portrait lens Newer leaves my camerabody Because its a prime it will make you think alot more about how you shoot pictures (composition and so on) Nice colours, and bokem
The manuel fokus ring has a bad felling to it, compared to other no L Canon like the 100mm macro 2.8 and 85mm

If one is in the market after a 50mm 1.2, please do not buy before you try this on out first - its almost as sharp, weights much less, cheap - and works fine for most projects.

Im so happy with the performance this gives me. A new version with a better USM fokus funktion and fokus ring is the only thing about the build quality that so be improved, picturevise it should be emproved so it outperformes the newer Sigma 50mm 1.4.

Try it and buy it you wont regret it.

Canon EOS 1D Mark III

Pros: Image Quality Super Fast Construction - rock solid Ease of use - new buttom layout Cn funtions - easy as to customise
pro grade camera so its expensive

This is a update

So now im been useing this camera for a while now and most say that im still impressed over it.

There has been many artikels about the fokus system, but Canon seems to have dealt with the issues and has cleaned the market for bad cameras.

What i realy love about it is the endless possibilitys to customise the camera for your personal needs.

Also the more i use it the more i realise just how nice it feels - the ergonomics of this thing is awsome, Button layout is in my opinion the best EOS 1D body ever - its just so simple and it feels natuale when taking pictures too ajust shutter etc wihtout the need for me to stop up and look where to press.

Pros: Intuitiv, build Quality, processesing Speed, New Fokus system, Custom settings.

Comming from my Old Eos 10D to this model has been mindblowing! The way this thing can process a picture while still giving me the possibility of taking a new picture is stunning compered to the Eos 10D.

Picture wise - it a Canon, it will give you vidvid pictures out of the box, the Quality is stunning and there is significant more pictures that i keep when shooting with a high ISO setting.

Overall its a really expensive camera - but now about a Week aften purcase i can see that it is all the money worht.

YEs Nikon does make a superb camera "D3" but so does Canon so there is no reason for me to leave.

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Review Date: Aug 19, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 9

Pros: Beutiful Colour, lightweight design, broken and of course the sharpness.
Dosent come with tripod ring - or a bag. Cost extra - almost every outher company suply there lens with this.

A superbly macro lense. You can do alot of things right with this lightweight lense. Ofcourse theres the macro work but its also a stunner when you want too shot portraits - the boken is well put together so the background is really easy too control.

Its super sharp, with vivid colurs so overall a good lense - i havent had experience with outher macro lenses and i dont think that is going too something that will keep me sleepless doing the nights :D

Thanks to Canon for making a product that will be in my bag for alot of years to come.

Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG APO MACRO HSM

Review Date: Aug 18, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Overall performance, Build Quality, Finish, colour - weight/handling "nice balance" Tripod holder etc. Its a great tool when pared with a 24-70 mm lense.

Superb performer. Overall im realy happy with this produkt. I also owen a 24-70 mm EX DG lense and whit thise 2 lenses ind my bag im ready to go out all day and snap away.

Barcalona with it smal an narrow streets an big open walking streets is in many ways a perfect place to test a lense like the 70-200mm. For portraits its really nice - with crips colour and a fair amount of sharpness all the way down from 2.8 to 22. At the moment this is the lense i use on my camera "a old 10D from Canon" The camera is not bag at all but those have a history of beeing bad in darkness - some times i hunt with this lense but that has more to do with my camerabody than it has with the lense.

Its build like a Toyota avensis - strong, dualible and not that big of a weight - i can easly have it on me for hours and lying in my domke bag it fits perfectly for a hole day on the streets in Barcalona.

Surly there is a Canon F.4 70-200 that allso is a superb lense but with the speed of this lense the slight weight difference is no problem at all.
two phumbs up to Sigma on making a superb performer !

Canon EOS 10D

Review Date: Jun 22, 2003 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,500.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Superb build. Functions. "its a canon :-) " The "menu" is easy to get hold off. So many possibility's Good manuel. Ease off use. Supports allmost any Canon lenses. A good software packed "Filewiever and browser, photoshop elements"

At the moment the best investment in a DSLR you can make ! no Doubt there.

I primarily use the camera with a Sigma 24-70 EX 2.8 zoom - and just took a bunch off pictures at my sisters gradtuation - some underexposed pictures, but hey thats my mistake, not the equipment's.

Colours are perfect !!!
Sharpness is almost perfect in standard setup, you can do a little sharpning on the camera, but i tent too use photoshop, if i need too sharpen a picture.

Overall its the finest camera u can buy for a small amount off money, if i could give it a better recomedation than "excellent" i would do so. Its that good.

Thx Canon - from and "old" Nikon user.

Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX Aspherical DG DF

Review Date: Jun 6, 2003 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $392.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Price (392 Euro) compared too the L class from canon, its just top notch Build, looks tuff (its good, but not an L lense:-) Fast Auto focus
It's just a too soft at F2.8 "Photoshop is not going too fix this prob" But allmost any lenses out there is a bit soft at this point - i can live with it.

First of all it a great product, no doubt there ! Of course some might like too spend a heck of a lot more on pro lenses like expensive L series - But the Sigma 24-70mm F.2.8 EX lense vill work a long way, its robust, and the EX Looks and feels okay.

Overall there seem too be quite a big quality diff. between Sigma 24-70 F2.8 EX - some has a Sigma 24-70 F2.8 EX which is pretty sharp other that at the same F.stop "2.8" is unsharp - so try a couple off them too see if you cant find a good one !
