Pros:
|
Good size and weight, sharp and contrasty

Hood, like most Sigma hoods, feels flimsy.

I've had mixed issues with Sigma over the years. I figured I'd give this a go based on early reviews, and I was not disappointed. Good, solid weight and build. Focuses quickly and silently and my images are coming out quite sharp.

Pros:
|
Smaller, lighter than the 70-200 2.8, great range, sharp, fast focusing.
|
Cons:
|
MFD is variable, bokeh is not always pleasing

My first copy of this lens was beat to hell and leaking oil inside. I still loved it, but had to give it up.
My new copy is in much better shape and I love it even more. Easy to shoot with, quite sharp considering the range it covers.
It's not light, but it is lighter than my 70-200 2.8 IS, and smaller as well.
It's my airshow lens of choice, and my walkabout lens when I'm not carrying my E-P3.

Pros:
|
Build quality, sharpness

Cons:

Maybe a bit large and heavy, but not unmanagable
|
|
Only reason I sold it is because I moved to APS-H from APS-C. Quality was great, especially for the price.
