I'd like to try to make some family portraits that are a little better than the on-camera "deer in the headlights" look or the ceiling bounce look. A friend pointed me to the Strobist www site, which is pretty good because it has a Lighting 101 course that goes through things step-by-step and it seems pretty easy to follow. I have joined the forum to ask questions about equipment.
