FS: Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM EF + Tripod Adapter Ring
Item for sale: This is a Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens with the Official Canon Tripod Adapter Ring.
Condition: LN-, This is very minty! It has no paint gouges whatsoever on the lens itself or the adapter ring. No dust on inside that I can see. No scratches on front lens element (see image). Lens Contacts are in excellent shape (see image). Auto Focus operates as it should. Manual focus is normal.
About manual focus: I am going to tell you the information I did not get before buying this lens online. If your coming from some other macro lens you may be a little shocked by the canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens focus wheel. It has some play. When I bought this lens, I thought that it was a defect so I went back to the store and noticed that all the copies did this. Upon further review others have confirmed that there is play. At the very first shoot I was a bit frustrated, I was so used to my Nikon 55mm f/2.8 Micro Nikkor afi. That being said I quickly adapted to this lens manual focus and never looked back. There is an adjustment period, but once your used to it, you forget about it and it never bothers you again, at least in my case.

Reason for sell: I have moved on to a longer macro lens. Although I would really love to keep this lens in my arsenal, I just can\'t justify 2 macro lenses, even though I feel this one is leaps and bounds ahead of my longer macro for auto focus, which I may regret giving up.
